Hays are working exclusively with a superb business in Shrewsbury who are looking for an experienced Accountant to join their growing team

Your new role
You will be responsible for all day to day finance and accounting tasks including purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, payments, and producing accurate monthly financial reports for the management team. As well as providing necessary information to assist external parties for annual returns and end of year procedures.
Your duties will include:

Maintenance of accurate and complete day to day finance entries and records
Annual Profit and loss and Cashflow forecasting and budgeting.
Preparation and ownership of financial returns i.e., VAT, Intrastat, PAYE, Auto Enrolment, annual Audit and EOY information, including liaising with tax advisors on all tax matters and collation of R&D information
Month End Accounts preparation, including Cashflow reporting, Stock Reporting and Reconciliations, Fixed Asset Register and Depreciation, Accruals & Prepayments
Payroll management and company wide bonus scheme administration
Currency negotiations and arrangements, timely and accurate bank reconciliations for multi-currency bank accounts
Management of records relating to company vehicles


What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Accountant who is ideally AAT Qualified or qualified by experience with good IT skills on an ERP system
You should be analytical, organised and detail orientated, have a positive, helpful attitude and be a strong communicator.
