Assistant Management Accountant
Location:
Manchester City Centre- hybrid working- 3 days from the office
Salary:
circa £35,000- £38,000 DOE
We have got an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, part qualified Accountant, to join an award-winning, global company based in Manchester, on a full time, permanent basis.
Working closing with the Head of Finance and Management Accountant, you will support with the financial analysis to assist business profitability & growth, produce management reporting to assist with key decision making and support with annual budgeting, reforecasting & planning process.
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will have a diverse and varied role. Some responsibilities and duties include:

The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast paced, financial environment. You will be innovative & inquisitive, bringing new ideas to the team, whilst being hands on and flexible. Experience working on SAP is advantageous.

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will have a diverse and varied role. Some responsibilities and duties include:
- Analyse financial information to enable business profitability and growth
- Prepare journal entries for month-end and year-end journals
- Produce accurate management reporting to support key decision making
- Process payment runs as requested and required
- Assist with statutory and management accounts in line with the group timetable (P&L and Balance Sheet) including variance analysis and commentaries
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring all actions required are clearly documented for review by Head of Finance
- Year-end audit deliverables including preparation of year-end schedules and completion of audit testing
- Relevant commercial analysis e.g. margins, pricing and weekly sales
- Assist with annual budgeting, reforecasting, and financial planning processes.
Skills & attributes:
- AAT, ACCA, CIMA (other accounting) part qualification/currently studying
- Balance sheet experience
- Strong systems/excel knowledge
- Determined attitude and a willingness to learn
- Motivation/keenness to progress/take on new challenges
