SRM are partnering with a scaling listed business in the technology sector to recruit an FP&A Business Partner to be the main finance stakeholder on their Adaptive Insights/Adaptive Planning forecasting tool, but also be the lead Finance Business Partner for their corporate functions.

Experience of working with Workday Adaptive Planning / Adaptive Insights is considered to be a pre-requisite for this role.

Key

Responsibilities:


  • Act as the finance business partner for the corporate functions (HR/Finance/Legal etc)
  • Partnering collaboratively with key stakeholders to produce periodic forecasts and budgets, providing robust challenge as required
  • Analyse and investigate monthly variances with budget holders as appropriate and ensure corrective actions are in place as needed
  • Assist in the development of financial reports to drive conscientious cost behaviours and decisions and follow up as appropriate with business partners
  • Maintain and administrate the Adaptive Planning system - ensure all financial reporting dimensions are aligned with D365 Dynamics (cost centre, chart of accounts, cost categories etc)
  • Consolidation of group financial budget and Quarterly forecasts, reviewing and ensuring integrity of reports
  • Ensure integrity of uploads of monthly actual results from D365 ERP system to Adaptive reconciling and resolving differences
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with external consultant that specializes in Adaptive planning software, to ensure our current adaptive system is fit for purpose


  • Automate key monthly and quarterly reports for the FP&A team to use, and also provide insightful analysis for the team so they can pinpoint the area of focus
  • Manage master data change control process and approvals, develop and manage organisation-wide communications and training
  • Support the FP&A group on budgeting and reforecasting cycle and quarterly external financial reporting cycle, i.e. setting up template for data upload, set up ad-hoc report to support special analysis
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the finance organisation to streamline processes and improve communication and flow of information to the business
  • Further development of the adaptive tool, working with external consultants as required i.e. integrated BS and Cash Flow modules and leveraging visualisation and analytic tools like PowerBI for enhanced reporting experience


The successful candidate will be/have:

  • Experience working in FP&A as a Financial Business partner
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA etc)
  • Ideally has at least 3+ years of experience in Cloud based financial planning tools, ideally Workday Adaptive Planning/ Insights
  • Experience of maintaining and/or implementing Cloud based financial planning tool
  • Power BI or similar visualisation tools experience
  • Accuracy, logical with attention to detail


Our client is central London located and operate a two to three days p/w in the office / hybrid working policy.
