We're seeking a Senior Tax Associate with deep expertise in tax planning, compliance, and consulting to join our client's dynamic team in North Houston. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across multiple industries, allowing you to expand your knowledge and experience in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance & Preparation: Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Tax Planning & Advisory: Provide strategic tax planning and consultation services to clients, identifying tax-saving opportunities and minimizing liabilities.
- Client Management: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact for tax-related matters.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct tax research on complex issues and keep up-to-date with federal, state, and local tax law changes that could impact clients.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster growth within the team.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax, with expertise in tax preparation, compliance, and planning.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or EA designation strongly preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax issues and deliver sound solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a client-focused approach and the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
