Key Responsibilities

Tax Preparation Excellence: Prepare Federal and State income tax returns, including multi-state and State and Local (SALT) franchise tax returns, as well as quarterly estimates with precision and attention to detail
Strategic Tax Planning: Participate in tax planning initiatives to include preparing projections, estimates, and apportionment schedules that drive informed decision-making
Research and Compliance: Conduct thorough research on tax issues, maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, assist in federal and state tax audits, and responding to tax notices
Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with various teams to gather necessary information and communicate potential tax risks effectively
Innovative Solutions: Maintain and enhance our automated tax calendar, ensuring timely and accurate filings

Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; an MS in Taxation or CPA certification is highly desirable
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of tax preparation experience in public accounting or a corporate tax department
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel and familiarity with tax software (CCH Axcess and NetSuite G/L preferred)
Research Skills: Ability to utilize both online and printed resources for comprehensive tax research
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex tax concepts clearly
Team Player: A proactive approach to assisting in non-tax areas, embracing the opportunity for broad exposure across the company
