Financial Analyst | Milton Keynes
Opportunity Overview:
A leading organisation is seeking a Part-Qualified / Newly-Qualified Finance Analyst to enhance its financial operations. This role supports the financial operations for the company's International business. Responsibilities include delivering sales reporting, planning and analysis, and ensuring the accuracy of sales and other financial data. The role involves working closely with the International Operations, IT and Marketing teams and occasionally with the US FP&A, Investor Relations and Global Controllership teams to ensure sales are accurately reported and SOX controls well-implemented and tested.
This position requires experience of working in a fast-paced organisation while initiating and actioning process improvements alongside driving a fun and inclusive culture across a team of qualified and non-qualified finance professionals.
Responsibilities:
•Deliver weekly sales reports for the 2,500+ store International business across UK, EMEA, LATAM and APAC regions
•Monitor and reconcile sales data, ensuring it is accurate and complete, working with the IT team to resolve issues
•Analysis on sales, orders and other metrics vs budgets and forecasts working with the International Operations, Development and Marketing teams to understand and explain variances
•Assist in the financial close processes (monthly, quarterly, and annual) for the International business, specifically focussing on sales.
•Prepare monthly sales SOX controls
•Support in delivering the annual sales budgets, and quarterly reforecasts including the updating of financial models and loading data into systems
•Contribute to continuous process improvements to ensure reporting is fit for purpose and information is timely and accurate.
•Respond to ad-hoc requests for international store, sales or other financial information
•Collaborate with other teams to ensure the integrity of finance controls, processes, and procedures.
Requirements:
•Part-qualified or recently qualified accountant in a UK recognized accounting qualification, with management reporting and month-end close experience.
•Sales planning, reporting & analysis experience within a multi-site business, experience dealing with large data sets
•Knowledge of Tableau and Essbase
•Experience in a Regional Accounting team in an international / public company environment.
•Highly motivated, self-directed, independent thinker with experience of improving processes.
•Proficient PC skills and experience with financial applications (Excel, Word, Hyperion, NetSuite)
•Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment and to adapt to new situations
•Demonstrated ability to quickly establish trust and build relationships
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
