About the Role:
Our client, a well-established and growing regional accountancy practice, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to manage a portfolio of diverse clients and play a pivotal role in the development and mentoring of junior and semi-senior team members.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Client Portfolio Management: Take full responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring all compliance deadlines are met and providing high-quality advisory services.
- Review and Oversight: Review work prepared by junior and semi-senior accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Provide constructive feedback to improve their technical skills and development.
- Accounts Preparation: Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with professional advice and acting as their key point of contact for accounting and financial queries.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support the professional development of junior staff members, contributing to their growth and progression within the firm.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure the timely completion of corporate tax returns and assist with tax planning for clients.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a practice environment.
- Proven experience in managing a portfolio of clients independently.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on delivering high-quality client service.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor junior staff members.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
