The Role:
You will play a key role in the management of our Audit Department, helping to shape the future of the team by supporting organic business growth and personal development. We’re looking for someone with a proactive management approach, who will be confident managing a varied workload and who will also be able to invest heavily with the development of the team.
Reporting directly to the Partners, you will primarily be responsible for managing a portfolio of some of the firm’s largest clients. You will have a strong focus on client service having led and delivered high quality and complex audits.
You will also have people manager responsibilities and will understand how to get the best out of your team. The development of others is key; our people are at the heart of everything we do so having a passion for growing our internal talent and shaping the future of the team is vital to this role.

What Will I Do?
- Be responsible for managing a client portfolio, performing audit file reviews and providing value added commercial observations and practical solutions on any issues arising
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, becoming their go-to person by ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality results
- Managing multiple assignments at any one time
- Taking responsibility for the financial management of your client portfolio including the control of WIP, billing and debt management
- Coach and develop your team members by sharing knowledge and supporting with their ongoing training and development
- Support the department and wider firm by participating in external networking events
- Grow your internal and external network to support your own learning and career development
What Do I Need?
- Prior experience in managing external audits
- Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS102 and ISAs
- Be either ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong time management skills and an ability to meet deadlines through being organised, efficient and able to prioritise your own workload
- To maintain an internal and external network via strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Demonstrable experience in managing people, supporting your team’s development and an understanding of how to motivate, communicate and support a high performing team
- An understanding of a commercial business and the drivers for success
- A full driving license and access to independent transport

- Starting salary from £52,000, rising dependant on experience
