Introduction
Our client, based in Newlands, Cape Town, is seeking a Credit Controller to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in mathematics and accounting to contribute to the financial management of the business.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
• Perform credit checks and assessments on potential clients.
• Monitor overdue accounts and initiate collection processes.
• Resolve queries and disputes related to outstanding invoices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of payment activity.
• Liaise with customers to ensure payment terms are met.
• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures.
• Provide regular reports on outstanding debts and credit risk.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate invoicing and account reconciliation.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric with strong results in Mathematics and Accounting.
• At least 1 year of experience in credit control or a similar role.
• English and Afrikaans speaking.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of accounting software is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.

Package & Remuneration
R18 000 - R22 000 Basic Salary
