Finance Systems Manager

Your new company
Hays are currently looking for a Permanent Finance Systems Manager to join a charitable organisation based in Birmingham. They are ideally looking for someone within Birmingham, but the role can also be considered as remote with occasional travel to the Birmingham office.

Your new role
You will be reporting directly to the Head of Finance and will have a direct junior report. You will work alongside the Finance and Technology team to maintain their newly implemented Oracle ERP system, ensuring continuous improvement, automation, and process simplification initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed
The key duties for this role include:

• Maintain Oracle Chart of Accounts in order to deliver and maintain a solution that best accommodates the needs of the business.
• Supporting businesses through their key financial processes, ensuring that the system is effectively supporting their needs.
• Monitor and maintain the Oracle systems, ensuring that processes and system controls are operating effectively, and that data is transferred between Oracle and related accounting systems correctly.
• Problems and incident management issues arise on the Oracle platform and related month end activities.
• Help to establish best practices around the support of the Oracle platform by working with project teams and business partners.
• Liaising with Oracle to ensure issues are effectively resolved and to assist in the implementation of ongoing patch changes on the platform.
• Communicating system changes to the Finance function.
• Oversee user access controls.
