Astute Recruitment are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant on behalf of our client based in Bilborough. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys managing varied finance responsibilities independently.
Duties:
* Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including processing invoices, payments, and expenses
* Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate data entry into accounting systems
* Oversee the accounts payable function
* Supplier statement reconciliations
* Making sure suppliers are paid within agreed timeframes
* Intercompany sales invoices
* Processing payment runs
* Act as a key point of contact for financial queries internally and externally
* Collaborate with wider team to provide financial insight and support
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in a finance or accounting role
* Knowledge of accounting and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* A proactive and problem-solving mindset
Benefits and hours:
* Salary up to £28,000, depending on experience
* 22 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
* An additional day off for your birthday
* Flexible hybrid working: Fridays work from home
* Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
