My client is currently hiring for a VP and AVP within the Conduct Risk space.

This bank offers a range of financial services to personal and corporate clients, including deposit accounts, mortgages, and business loans. They also provide specialised services such as trade finance to support international trade and investment.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic AVP/VP of Conduct Risk to join our corporate bank based in London. This role is crucial in ensuring that the bank adheres to all conduct risk requirements and maintains the highest standards of ethical behavior and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Risk Management: Assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of the conduct risk framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Policy Development: Support the design and update of conduct risk policies and procedures, ensuring they align with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Help establish robust monitoring systems to track conduct risk metrics and provide regular reports to senior management and the board.
  • Training and Awareness: Contribute to initiatives that enhance conduct risk awareness across the bank, including the development and delivery of training programs.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Support as a point of contact with regulatory bodies concerning conduct risk matters.
  • Risk Assessment: Assist in conducting regular risk assessments and provide strategic recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various departments, including Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit, to ensure a cohesive approach to managing conduct risk.
  • Incident Management: Help oversee the investigation and resolution of conduct risk incidents, ensuring timely reporting and remediation.


Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in conduct risk or a related risk management role within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Expertise: Good understanding of regulatory requirements and conduct risk management practices.
  • Leadership: Ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, business, or a related field. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) is preferred.
