SENIOR CREDIT RISK STRATEGY SPECIALIST

UP TO £80,000

You will collaborate with the Senior Manager of Strategy, Risk, and Affordability to analyze and deliver credit risk acquisition strategies, taking ideas from inception through to implementation. Additionally, you will oversee governance processes and ensure effective controls are in place.

THE ROLE

• Spearheading the creation of credit risk underwriting strategies that align with company goals and regulatory standards, prioritizing positive customer outcomes.
• Proactively tracking credit quality to uncover key insights and opportunities for optimization.
• Ensuring all processes, incident management, and strategic implementations adhere to strict control measures and meet audit requirements.
• Creating charge-off curves to support budget planning, performance reviews, and score-cut assessments.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders to foster an effective feedback loop and seamless execution of strategies and controls.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 2 years of experience in credit card strategies or highly analytical roles within the UK financial services sector.
• Familiarity with unsecured lending, ideally gained through professional experience.
• A strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and commercial acumen, coupled with a logical, methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining policies and controls.
