Treasury Risk Manager

The location of the role is London (hybrid working).

The duration of the contract is 6 months initially.

The pay rate on offer is £500 per day (via Umbrella).

Role Summary

The Treasury Cash, Operations and Risk team is responsible for managing the Group’s cash management structures and managing the relationships with the core transactional banks, risk reporting and control and governance framework.

The primary purposes of the Treasury Risk Manager role are enhancing financial resilience, compliance and controls, drive efficiency and automation and foster cross functional collaboration between the different Treasury functions.

Key accountabilities of the role
  • Enhance Financial Resilience: Strengthen financial resilience by identifying and mitigating risks, developing liquidity management strategies, implementing risk assessment processes, and fostering a risk-aware culture.
  • Strengthen Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies by regularly reviewing treasury policies, conducting internal audits, and collaborating with legal and compliance teams.
  • Drive Efficiency and Automation: Streamline treasury processes through technology and automation. This includes exploring treasury management systems, implementing straight-through processing, and leveraging data analytics.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Act as a strategic partner across departments by engaging with various teams, providing actionable insights, and fostering strong relationships with external stakeholders.


Key skills and experience
  • Strong technical Treasury knowledge and the ability to build effective relationships across external and internal stakeholders
  • Financial qualification or qualified by experience (e.g.: CIMA, ACCA, AMCT/MCT)
  • Is an accomplished financial executive with a distinguished career in Finance
  • Has earned a reputation for delivering results in dynamic and challenging environments and has a strategic mindset that aligns with the business’ vision and goals.
  • Experience in fostering cross-functional collaboration, working closely with finance, risk management, and other business stakeholders/departmental teams to achieve integrated solutions that drive sustainable growth
  • Committed to driving innovation in treasury practices, leveraging technology, and staying ahead of industry trends to ensure the business remains at the forefront of financial excellence
