1 day a week work-from-home & flexi hours

Only candidates who are currently unemployed or completing a contract soon will be considered. The purpose of this role is to provide support to FD, FM and the finance team on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for complete and accurate processing in GL via journals and maintenance thereof at reporting intervals
• approver of purchase orders for profit centres
• fixed assets and tax asset registers
• Overall responsibility for completion and review of all month end reconciliations
• Responsible for timeous and accurate payroll monthly submissions
• Preparation of all statutory returns
• Responsible for the preparation of financial analysis with commentary to close off the reporting month
• Preparation of the audit files and annual financial statements for review by the FM
• Ensure compliance with finance internal control processes
• Assist the FM in year-end process management
• Liaising with internal and external auditors

Qualifications and Experience

• BCom Accounting, Honours/articles will be an advantage
• Minimum 5 - 6 years' experience as a financial accountant
• Computer literate and highly proficient in the use of MS Excel, with the ability to do lookups and pivots
• Systems knowledge - SAP
• Income Tax Returns/E-filing

Package & Remuneration
R35 - R40K per month
