Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Verify the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial investment asset reporting data from source providers.
- Resolve or escalate queries to the appropriate business areas to ensure issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Manage, analyze, and enrich large datasets to support reporting objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of IFRS and FSCA reporting requirements to ensure compliance.
- Conduct thorough analysis and reasonableness checks to identify potential errors and provide meaningful insights.
- Ensure timely delivery of accurate reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Interpret new financial instruments to determine correct accounting treatments under IFRS and classify them appropriately for statutory reporting.
- Update accounting and reporting systems (e.g., JDE) with accurate investment data and ensure compliance with FSCA reporting requirements, such as QRT uploads.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledgers and fulfill other reporting obligations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for client queries, focusing on swift and satisfactory issue resolution.
- Prepare IFRS7 working papers for all legal entities and support the Group Reporting Team with valuation techniques for annual financial statements.
- Provide S&P national scale credit ratings in the required format for all legal owners.
- Oversee tax-related administrative tasks, including CGT, S24J, and DWT.
- Handle IFRS10 responsibilities, including fund consolidations, supplementary packs for fund subsidiaries, and preparing working papers.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- BCom Degree in a relevant field, along with a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial services, ideally within asset management or life insurance.
- Extensive knowledge of financial instruments and investment asset reporting.
- Strong understanding of asset management administration systems and related practices.
- Expertise in IFRS7, IFRS10, and other accounting standards pertinent to investment assets and financial instruments.
