Your Role:
The Center Director is responsible for the overall management, development, and execution of study abroad programs at the designated location. This role involves leadership over academic, financial, and operational aspects, ensuring that all programs meet organizational standards and student needs.
What You’ll Do:
Leadership
- Accountable for the derivation and delivery of London’s annual operations plan, ensuring that this is effectively communicated to all Departments.
- Attract, recruit, develop and lead a high-performing team, ensuring effective division of work and adherence to local labour laws.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, maintaining strong communication and teamwork among staff.
- Collaborate with the local and global stakeholders to balance student support and academic integrity.
- Represent and promote CEA CAPA’s mission and values to students and stakeholders.
- Build strong internal and external relationships to enhance CEA CAPA’s visibility and brand.
- Foster robust relationships with local partner institutions.
Program Management
- Provide direction on all aspects of study abroad programs, including academics, housing, student services, and health and safety.
- Develop program calendars and ensure that the program's online database is maintained.
- Collaborate with other centres and departments to share best practices and ensure consistency across programs.
- Analyze program performance data to make informed decisions for continuous improvement.
Student Services
- Ensure that student experiences are enriching, culturally immersive, and aligned with academic goals.
- Handle escalated student issues, including disciplinary actions and health and safety emergencies.
- Monitor student feedback and implement changes to maintain or improve satisfaction scores.
Academic Institution Relations
- Cultivate relationships with universities and contribute to the development of marketing strategies to increase enrollment.
- Serve as the primary liaison with each local academic institution, managing course registration and monitoring students’ academic progress.
- Report updates and changes from local institutions to the Home Office and collaborate on program improvements.
- Host U.S. university visitors for recruitment and program visibility efforts.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage the centre’s budget, ensuring cost control in collaboration with the Home Office, and ensuring resourceful spending practices.
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, vendor contracts, and payroll.
- Communicate financial needs and updates to the central finance department.
- Represent the centre during all financial audits.
Communication
- Regularly communicate with the Home Office on all aspects of London’s operations.
- Document and report student concerns and issues promptly.
- Partner with the Marketing Department by communicating the centre's offerings and participating in the recruitment of students.
What Makes a Great Candidate:
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in international education or related fields.
- Experience leading and developing teams.
- Ability to work with diverse identities.
- Experience living or working abroad, with a knowledge of the local culture, history, business practices, and academic environment.
- Authorization to work in the location of the role.
