Our client, a leading multinational manufacturing company based in South Africa, is seeking a Financial Controller to join their team in Pretoria North to compile and provide accurate and timeous Financial information to Plant Management to make informed business decisions.
This is an AA position, preference will be given to African applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide financial analysis and support to management
Monitor and support debtors and creditors
Maintenance of the fixed asset register
Control intercompany balancing
Review weekly payroll
Review and action Financial variances (Budget / Forecast)& Balance Sheet Account variances
Maintain the plant CAPEX & Tooling Reports
Maintain and Review the Risk Register
Participate in the budget/forecast process
Prepare budgets and forecasts for plants
Prepare financial reports and returns
Prepare general ledger journals
Compile general ledger reconciliations
Prepare and plan Year-end Statutory Audit
Calculate landed cost on all import shipments
Investigate Purchase Price Variances (PPV)
Generate variance report of Actuals to budgeted information
Compile daily stock holding report
Oversee Stock Takes
Assist with investigating stock count variances
Monitor daily cash positions and cash flows to ensure settlement and maximise performance
Prepare financial reports and returns
Generate information and reports for internal and external use
Requirements:
Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting
CIMA qualification required
Financial knowledge to interpret basic financial statements, dealing with financial month-end, & journals
Manufacturing experience, automotive experience preferred
