Job title: Management Accountant
Our client, based in Somerset West, is in the agricultural industry and they are looking to hire a Management Accountant to join their team as soon as possible.
About the role
This is a senior position in the finance team, with a direct line to the Finance Manager (Operations) and a dotted line to the CFO. It has responsibility over several of the company's operational business units, which comprises of 5 farms, 5 packing facilities and a wholesale nursery across the country. Further projects in the pipeline may add to these in the short- to medium term.
This is a critical position with much influence on the daily business operations and decision-making.

This position is based in office and is full time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, but required to work additional hours as required, especially over peak periods.
Starting date: As soon as possible
Location: Somerset West
Salary: R60 000-R65 000

Responsibilities
- Compilation of monthly management reports for relevant business units.
- Compilation of quarterly forecasts (profit & loss, balance sheet, cashflow).
- Compilation of annual budgets (profit & loss, balance sheet, cashflow).
- Detailed analytics on profitability of divisions and profit centers at various levels as required by management.
- Standard costing and accounting.
- Stock control and accounting.
- Development of management dashboards and related presentations.
- Constant engagement with business unit management, acting as business partner in all financial management aspects.
- Various other tasks as required by management.
Requirements
- Tertiary degree in accounting or related (essential).
- Relevant professional qualification e.g. CIMA (preferred).
- Agricultural sector experience (highly desirable).
- ERP experience (desirable).
- Business Intelligence e.g. Qlikview experience (desirable).
