- My client is currently seeking an experienced accountant to join the team for a maternity leave contract (to join a handover from 1 December - 13 December 2024 and to work from 9 January- 30 May 2025).
Duties & Responsibilities
Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role based in Somerset West for the dates as specified above in the City of Cape Town for an Accountant. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing data to ensure compliance with regulations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting software (Buildsmart Advantageous) and Microsoft Excel (essential). Microsoft Excel skills at Intermediate to Advanced Level.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (advantageous)
Experience Required:
- At least 10 years experience in Accounting
- Must be a team player who is able to think out of the box. Preference will be given to individuals already based in the Western Cape given the urgent start date of the position.
