We are seeking a detailoriented Billing Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and issuing invoices processing payments and ensuring the accuracy of billing records. You will play a key role in ensuring that the companys billing operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner.
Process payments and follow up on outstanding accounts.
Maintain accurate billing records and update customer accounts.
Address and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure correct billing data.
Assist with monthly and annual financial reports related to billing.
Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries.
Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent with a qualification in finance or accounting (advantageous).
Proficiency in MS Office and billing/accounting software (e.g. Quick Books Sage).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in billing operations.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills for handling client inquiries.
Prior experience in a billing or finance role is preferred but not required.
