Join a stable, internationally acclaimed organisation as a Financial Controller for their South African operations.
Is this you?
You are a seasoned finance professional who values stability, autonomy, and a structured work environment. Known for your resilience and focus, you bring a wealth of accounting experience, particularly in manufacturing, stock management, and forex transactions. You work well under pressure, communicate effectively across borders, and manage responsibilities confidently without drama.
What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
In this hands-on role, you'll have full oversight of all finance and accounting activities within the South African entity, ensuring accuracy in financial statements, handling local compliance, and providing end-to-end financial control. Reporting directly to the international finance team in Germany and the MD, you'll deliver insightful monthly and annual reports. As the only finance professional in the South African office, you'll be responsible for stock and manufacturing accounting, forex management for imports, and using SAGE Evolution for financial processing and reporting. Working independently within a small team, you'll enjoy the autonomy to manage finance operations while making meaningful contributions in a stable, supportive environment.
Where you'll be doing it
Our client is a globally recognised and stable international company known for delivering high-quality manufacturing solutions, particularly in the environmental and filtration industries. With an international footprint, this organisation values integrity, precision, and innovation across its product lines. In their South African operations they have 45 employees, of which 8 are in the office. You'll find a balanced workplace culture that fosters independence, encourages loyalty, and allows you to play a crucial role in the company's local success.
What you'll need
You bring at least 10-20 years of solid accounting experience with expertise in stock and manufacturing finance, as well as forex management. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered along with a matric qualification. Proficiency in an ERP system is essential, as is the ability to work autonomously and report effectively to international teams. We're looking for someone that will come with longevity and loyalty, we're looking for someone that's not looking to "climb the corporate ladder". You will be required to travel to one of their overseas offices once a year at least.
What you'll get
In return, you'll join a stable, internationally respected company offering a basic salary and which the package can include a contribution to medical and provident/pension. There is a guaranteed 13th Cheque. This is an opportunity for a chance to work autonomously in a small yet impactful local team, and the satisfaction of maintaining complete control over the South African finance function.
Please note: This position is for 2025. While our team is currently on a well-deserved break over the holiday season, we will review all applications as soon as we return. Rest assured, we'll get back to you promptly once operations resume. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and we wish you a joyful holiday season!
