Introduction
Growing Agricultural company situated in Johannesburg North seeks a Chief Financial Officer, responsible for overseeing all financial operations and strategies of the company, ensuring that they maintain financial health while scaling the company's operations.

This role requires a leader who is skilled at financial modeling, planning, and compliance, with the ability to make financial data accessible and understandable for non-financial stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring a practical, solutions-oriented approach to ensuring they operate within the legal framework while finding creative ways to achieve the company's business objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors, providing clear analysis of key metrics, trends, and variances.
• Present complex financial information in a simplified manner for broader understanding.
• Ensure the company complies with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry-specific legal requirements.
  
• Develop legal strategies to optimize the financial performance of the company.
  
• Identify and manage financial risks related to the company's operations. Implement processes and controls to safeguard company assets.
  
• Work closely with department heads to understand operational needs and create financially viable solutions. Help drive profitability by identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving operational efficiency.
  
• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's long-term goals. Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Create and maintain financial models to support decisionmaking, ensuring that complex financial concepts are translated into clear, actionable insights for non-financial team members.
• Lead the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, development, and innovation. Collaborate with other senior executives to align financial strategies with operational goals.
  

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial role, preferably within the agriculture or related industry.
• Strong financial modeling skills
• Proven ability to navigate complex legal and financial regulations, with a talent for finding compliant solutions to business challenges.
• Experience with financial software and systems, including ERP systems.
