Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence: Streamline daily operations across multiple departments, monitor performance, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency
Business Process Optimisation: Innovate and refine internal processes to boost productivity and align with best practices
Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls to ensure optimal resource allocation and profitability
Business Development: Identify growth opportunities, craft strategies for market expansion, and build lasting relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Proposal and Tender Management: Lead the preparation of high-quality proposals and funding applications, ensuring timely and impactful submissions
Professional Communication: Oversee the creation of polished business documents, reports, and correspondence to maintain consistent, high standards
Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies while representing the organisation at key events
Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor a multidisciplinary team, promote accountability, and drive personal and professional development
Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks
Board Reporting: Deliver comprehensive reports on operations, financial health, and strategic initiatives to support informed board decisions
Qualifications and Experience:
Relevant tertiary education is advantageous
At least 5 years of senior operational management experience, ideally within youth development or a related sector
Demonstrated expertise in managing operations, optimising processes, and driving growth
Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and reporting
Exceptional skills in proposal writing and business communication
Experience with tender and funding applications
Proven leadership abilities and a talent for team development
