Commercial Pricing Manager
Location:
Peterborough (flexible hybrid working)
Role purpose
Lead on pricing outcomes and use your analytical flair, commercial experience and trading expertise to improve pricing performance of BGL Own Brand Products and some of the UK’s leading insurance brands. Use expertise to develop others in the team in order to drive commercially successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for accountable brands contribution to the annual Motor & Home trading plan.
- Ensure that trading performance for accountable brands are closely monitored, with trading variances raised and appropriate interventions proposed and delivered
- Motivated by the challenge of deriving and owning pricing decisions, using advanced analytics, to develop a range of pricing interventions to maximise value from the current market
- Accountable for end to end build of price changes and implementation of pricing models for accountable brands, ensuring all controls are adhered to, while challenging process to ensure controls are adequate and propose changes where necessary
- Effectively influence stakeholders and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to adopt your trading strategies, and ensure alignment of pricing and brand strategy.
- Active ownership of team development and coaching of analysts.
Work closely with Technical Pricing Team to ensure pricing models meet business objectives.
About you:
- Highly numerate and analytical.
- You will have substantial work experience in a commercial environment.
- You will have demonstrated experience of using data driven analytics to create solutions to business problems
- Proven ability in influencing stakeholders
- Expert in one of SQL, R, SAS or equivalent for analytical purposes on large datasets.
- Degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or another analytical subject
