Our client has developed an exciting product portfolio and has established itself as the technology leader in providing real-time oil condition monitoring services to asset owners to improve and optimise their maintenance & reliability operations.
To support their growing operations and global customer base in the marine, power generation, industrial, and metal processing industries, we are looking for a suitable candidate to join the team in Edinburgh as a Finance Manager.
This role is pivotal in managing the financial health of the business and providing strategic financial direction. The ideal candidate will come from an operations and manufacturing background and will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis.
Main Responsibilities
• Lead and manage all aspects of the company’s financial activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to support business decision-making and ensure financial goals are met.
• Work closely with the operations and manufacturing teams to ensure cost-efficient operations and financial compliance.
• Oversee cash flow management and ensure the company's financial stability.
• Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Manage audits and ensure accurate, timely financial documentation and reporting.
• Implement and monitor financial controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems to increase operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and banks.
• Support business growth initiatives by providing financial modelling and analysis on new projects, partnerships, and investments.
Your profile
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as a Finance Manager or in a senior financial role, ideally within the manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
• Experience in working closely with operations and manufacturing teams to drive cost efficiency and optimize financial performance.
• Proficient in financial software and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
