Jenson Fisher are delighted to be working with a well-established firm of chartered accountants based in the heart of Perth, renowned for delivering professional financial services to a diverse portfolio of clients to recruit a dedicated Payroll Assistant to join their team and help maintain their excellent standards of service.
As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth running of our clients' payroll operations. You'll be part of a dynamic team, working closely with your fellow payroll colleagues to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for a range of clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for payroll to develop their career in a supportive and professional environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing payrolls for multiple clients across various sectors.
- Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and auto-enrolment legislation.
- Handling client queries regarding payslips, tax, and national insurance.
- Assisting with the administration of pensions and other employee benefits.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and updating employee information.
- Preparing payroll reports for internal and client use.
- Daily use of accounting software including Sage, Xero and Excel (full training will be provided).
- Supporting payroll managers with ad hoc administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll, ideally within an accountancy practice or a bureau environment however this is not essential as payroll experience outwith practice/bureau will also be considered. You must consider yourself highly organised with great attention to detail and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
