Duties & Responsibilities
The candidate is primarily responsible for income tax compliance, including:
Manage the review and preparation of the non-Indian legal entities that file income tax returns in India, the applicable Transfer Pricing report and the Form 3CEB to ensure accurate and timely filing.
Maintain the relevant documentation and files to support the positions taken in the tax return filings.
Liaise and coordinate with Finance and other functions for the requisite information and documents for filing the income tax returns.
Manage the tax audit process, review and provide direction on responding to the queries to ensure timely and accurate submission.
Manage and support the requests for the required withholding tax documentation and assess what is needed to be provided.
Attend to the related administrative matters (e.g. Digital Signature Certificate, Power of Attorney, payment of taxes).
Monitor and advise on potential implications of changes in the Indian tax laws and regulations.
Support the group on ad hoc tax matters.
The candidate must work closely with the Business Units’ Finance and other functions and the various Tax teams in the U.S. and Asia Pacific.
Work Experience & Qualifications
Preferably 8-10 years of relevant work experience (combination of taxation/accounting experience), having worked for a Big Four accounting firm and having worked in a U.S. multinational company.
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy with an emphasis on taxation
An understanding and knowledge of ASC 740 and US GAAP would be advantageous
Familiarity with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Confidence and maturity to collaborate and communicate with a wide group of people and across different time zones
Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and independently,
Willing to work a flexible schedule occasionally beyond usual business hours as required
Hands-on and “can do” attitude, pays attention to details.
Strong technical competence
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple priorities
Strong project management skills
Experience working with Hyperion or SAP would be nice to have.
Travel Requirements
Periodic travel is required - probably 10%
