Job description:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enables decision-making through robust analytics.
  • Collaborates with Quality, GSSO, strategy, portfolio, and clinical trial functions to optimize intelligence.
  • Influences stakeholders at leadership levels for intelligence adaptation and implementation.
  • Establishes a performance-based culture focused on delivery, execution, and process improvements using metrics.
  • Ensures consistent, accurate, and timely delivery of products for customers.
  • Champions innovation and customer relationship management.
  • Leads cross-functional initiatives with internal/external stakeholders, including technology and process improvements.
As leader of the Site Organisation Oversight Team:
  • Designs and scales a Site Organisation/Site Partnership Model across therapeutic areas.
  • Partners with leadership to implement standardized audit strategies, quality metrics, and oversight across site organization types.
  • Oversees site assessments based on quality standards.
  • Partners with TPQLs to manage Site Organisation Intake Forms and suggest adaptations.
  • Monitors site performance to ensure compliance with quality metrics and service levels.
  • Conducts quality audits for process adherence.
  • Acts as the contact for quality-related issues, ensuring resolution and corrective actions.
  • Identifies and implements quality process improvements.
  • Prepares and presents quality metric reports to senior management.
  • Develops a strategic site partnership strategy with a roadmap to scale Site Organisation information.
  • Implements customer relationship management and scorecards for continuous improvement.
  • Engages C-suite and investigators to set targets, strategies, and agreements.
  • Leads team overseeing SO and Strategic Partner processes.
  • Identifies process improvements in response to compliance changes and external influences.
  • Routinely assesses and communicates process performance across OARS & GSSO.
  • Develops consistent onboarding and training materials.
  • Serves as the business contact for OARS analytics, providing business context for metrics and data.
  • Collaborates on new initiatives to improve efficiency and build talent.
  • Reviews and interprets signals at portfolio, study, and site levels.
Required profile:

  • MBA/MS + 15 years, or BS + 20 years experience in drug discovery and development in a global matrixed organization.
  • At least 20 years of pharmaceutical experience with strong mastery of clinical development operations.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities, with a proven ability to build and motivate high-performing teams to achieve ambitious business goals.
  • Proven track record of building deep relationships within the healthcare and investigator community.
  • Experience engaging institutional leaders in strategic partnerships and initiatives.
  • Expert knowledge in site start-up and engagement processes, identifying and developing solutions to reduce friction and create efficiencies for a seamless B2B experience.
  • Customer and patient-first mindset, with experience delivering solutions that meet customer and business needs.
  • Strong external network with experience integrating industry best practices to drive operational and strategic change.
  • Proactive in identifying and mitigating risks during strategy planning and study execution.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen, able to translate operational, customer, and marketing data into performance goals and strategies.
  • Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills, with an ability to persuade, negotiate, moderate conflict, and engage senior leaders.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with colleagues and associates both inside and outside the organization.
  • Conversant with long-term business strategy and able to leverage it to answer key business questions.
  • History of success in customer service roles, consistently meeting customer expectations.
  • Strong presentation skills, interpersonal abilities, and a team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to multitask under tight deadlines across several projects, while providing high-quality work with attention to detail.
  • Flexible, adaptable to change, capable of working independently and as part of a team in a matrix environment.
