Trainee Management Accountant | Mid Kent (Hybrid working) | £30-35k DOE
Our client a highly successful business, part of a larger UK wide Group are looking for a Trainee Management Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will have good communication skills, a professional appearance and be trustworthy and diligent with previous experience in an analytical or business partnering tasks.
As Trainee Management Accountant your main purpose will be to assist in preparing the monthly management accounts accurately and on time.
The main purpose of the role will be the primary financial controls contact for a variety of different stakeholders across the entire business. You will focus on execution and continuous improvement of financial controls and reporting whilst providing insight and adding value across the team. Ensuring all data is accurate for month end reporting.
The organisation offers flexible working, 1-2 days a week in the office working 39 hours.

Key responsibilities will include:
- To ensure key controls are operating effectively across our finance processes
- Support the month-end close process, including submission of financial reporting
- Ownership and review of the month end intercompany accounting
- Own the balance sheet monthly reconciliation and review process
- Responsible for the maintenance of the chart of accounts, including the correct set up of new general ledger accounts as well as month end timetable and ledger controls
- Support the external and internal audit processes
- Support the compliance regulation and reporting
- Support the implementation of business simplification and continuous improvement of the financial control environment
- Support the wider finance team with cross functional projects to deliver systems and process improvements, ensuring a robust platform for the future
You will be:-
- At a minimum Part- Qualified accountant with a recognised professional accounting body (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Capable with Excel and experience of working with large data sets.
- Experience prioritising tasks within a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using an array of finance systems and IT software.
