Sue Ross Recruitment are working with an award-winning, full-service law firm to recruit a Trust Advisor.
As a Trust Advisor, you will be responsible for the efficient and compliant administration of trusts established by clients. You will have greater autonomy for your own caseload and will begin to further enhance your own leadership qualities for the benefit of your personal development, your clients, and the firm.
Responsibilities include
* Compile comprehensive annual trust accounts in accordance with regulatory standards and firm guidelines.
* Prepare and submit accurate annual trust and estate tax returns, including R185s and other ancillary reporting requirements.
* Ensure timely payment of tax liabilities in adherence to HMRC deadlines.
* Manage the de-registration process for trusts on the HMRC Trust Register as needed.
* Regularly update and maintain the HMRC Trust Register, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Prepare and submit Inheritance Tax Returns (IHT100) with precision and attention to detail.
* Handle the timely submission of Capital Gains Tax Property (60 Day) Reports in compliance with regulatory timelines.
* Facilitate the opening and ongoing maintenance of trust bank accounts.
* Provide legal advice on trustees' duties and obligations, offering guidance on the exercise of dispositive powers across various trust types.
* Assist in the formulation and review of Trustees Investment Policy Statements to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Offer advice on the management of trust assets, including strategies for diversification.
* Provide expert advice on the application of Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and Inheritance Tax to trusts and estates.
* Draft and review various ancillary trust documents, including deeds of appointments, retirements, and other necessary legal instruments.
* Deliver high standards of client care and a first-class customer experience.
* Work commercially which is reflected in your case management and outcomes.
* Work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Achieve and deliver key outcomes both for the client and the firm.
