We’re recruiting now for a part-qualified Assistant Accountant to join our Digital Finance Team in our Sheffield office.

The Digital Finance Team is based across our Sheffield, Cleckheaton, Leeds and York offices. We offer a total accounting solution to help businesses, which includes:

Role objective:
To perform accounts services and provide an exceptional service for a variety of clients.

Accountabilities:
•Working to budget on each role
•Seeking opportunities for promotion of other services within BHP
•Supporting more junior colleagues in developing their knowledge and skills

Key Responsibilities:
•Bank Reconciliations
•Preparation of VAT returns
•Preparation of management accounts
•Preparation of year end accounts
•Preparation of Corporation Tax returns
•Using technology to streamline the service provided to clients
•Manage individual workflow as part of our wider outsourcing team, working closely with clients daily
•Dealing with a varied client portfolio including OMBs, in ecommerce, technology and construction industry

Person Specification:
•AAT Level 4 (preferred) / ACCA part-qualified
•Previous experience in Practice (preferred) or Industry
•Effective communication skills, both written and in person, with experience of attending and contributing to (client) meetings
•Good IT skills, including experience of using different accounting packages or systems (ideally Xero) and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
•Accurate, methodical, and organised
•Personable
