Key
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head of Banking to establish a Global Banking Operations team, focusing on systems, procedures, controls, and governance.
- Work closely with teams across Legal, Compliance, Commercial, Product, and Finance to implement banking processes and support new product launches.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing banking partners.
- Assist in structuring Banking and FX infrastructure for new markets and evaluate banking initiatives.
- Support global banking projects, optimizing bank account structures, and developing long-term banking strategies.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues within the company’s banking network.
- Develop and enforce banking policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
- Oversee the onboarding of new FX and Banking partners, including KYC/AML processes, account openings, and system setups.
- Coordinate with Legal to negotiate ISDA agreements and manage annual KYC renewals with global banking partners.
- Manage the Authorized Signatory Book, safeguarding accounts, and FX trading mandates across various jurisdictions.
- Drive operational and strategic initiatives within the team to enhance overall efficiency.
- Maintain comprehensive banking and FX data within Treasury systems and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Assist with regulatory and audit requests as needed.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Treasury Management Systems such as Kyriba.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey complex information clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset, able to identify issues and propose effective solutions. A proactive approach to improving processes and addressing challenges.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial institutions or fintech, with a deep understanding of banking operations, KYC processes, financial crime, and risk frameworks.
- Proven experience in managing partnerships with global/regional banks and FX providers.
- Hands-on experience in process improvements, change management, and automation within banking or fintech environments.
- Experience working with multiple legal entities and counterparties across various markets.
- Previous management experience is a plus.
