Orka Financial is working with a global manufacturing business based in Uxbridge to recruit an Senior Finance Business Partner who will work closely with Senior Operational stakeholders. The Finance Business Partner will need to build strong relationships with Senior leadership in order to constructively challenge and influence decision making.
Responsibilities:
• Acting as a trusted, visible, and accessible point of contact to the EMEA Manufacturing director, EMEA Supply Chain Director and the wider Operations management team, providing financial insight, decision support and analysis on a wide range of topics.
• Understand the value drivers of the business and provide challenge and decision support for the various operations with proactive identification, assessment, and management of financial, operational, and commercial risks.
• Lead on identification of operational efficiency, cost out initiatives across the region working with operations, supply chain and procurement teams.
• Work in close cooperation with the business prepare detailed operational forecasts and budgets.
• Production output modelling based on sales demand and inventory targets.
• Raw materials, labour, and factory costs planning.
• Capital and depreciation budgeting and forecasting.
• Standard costing
• In conjunction with cost accountant, enhance costing models to improve the standard costing of the SKU’s produced in the factories ensuring fair allocation of costs amongst product ranges.
• Ensure the cost accounting in the various factories is accurate and the right metrics/reporting are in place to monitor productivity and cost, which support explanation of production variances vs. standards.
• Responsible for creation of operations reporting pack and contribution to regional management pack with insights on operational performance and inventory.
• Ownership of capital expenditure submissions, reporting and analysis. Support the approval of capital expenditure requests by evaluating the cost/ benefits of proposed projects and develop business cases for the larger projects.
• Working closely with the Supply Chain team to collaborate and provide detailed insight of inventory holding and forecasts across EMEA. Support the financial accounting team in provision calculations and rationale.
• Responsible for standard costing and variance analysis in a manufacturing environment
• Able to analyse large amounts of complex data sets from multiple sources and providing strong financial analysis with the ability to turn this into insightful presentations.
• Comfortable in preparation and analysis of Capex Business Cases
• Champion working as part of a team within the business and striving for continuous improvement.
Profile:
• A qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with strong industry experience in business partnering with stakeholders at all levels.
• Resilient, able to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple stakeholders.
• A highly analytical skilled problem solver with a strong Operational mind-set; capability to distil complex ideas or problems into simple, effective plans and solutions through effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of factory cost accounting, analysis of operational performance of factories/operational environments and solid accounting skills.
• Able to think strategically, yet be comfortable adopting a hands-on approach, and staying close to the detail.
• Using an integrated ERP in a manufacturing environment.
• Influence and Persuasion: Ability to influence decision-making processes within the organisation by presenting compelling arguments based on financial data and analysis.
Salary:
£80,000 - £90,000 + bonus + benefits
