Peach Payments is a fast growing Pan-African PSP that makes online commerce and digital payment acceptance easier and more accessible across all Africa. We work with small and large sellers to provide a complete toolkit to accept, manage and disburse payments through web and mobile.

Our merchant partners include your favorite food delivery services, whether you're ordering in or using a meal kit, travel services that can help you book your next getaway adventure and even your neighbor's side-hustle e-commerce store.

For these partners and their customers, we aim to provide delightful experiences that make it as easy as possible to facilitate online payments.

What we'd like you to have:
  • A finance-related qualification
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and communication skills
  • Competent in Excel
  • Payments or recon experience preferable
  • Team Player
  • Ability to empathise with the merchant's perspective on issues
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity
  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow


Your mission, if you choose to accept it
  • Prepare and process merchant settlements and payments
  • Reconcile and report merchant settlement transactions
  • Prepare settlement merchant reconciliation, payment methods reconciliation
  • Record and proactively resolve all failed settlement queries.
  • Communicate with non-compliant merchants (outstanding FICA) and assist in retrieving outstanding documentation.
  • Identify improvements to payment team processes and support the delivery of process improvements.
  • Raise any matters that may delay the processing of payments which may negatively affect a Merchant's ability to trade, and manage merchants' expectations.
  • Actively seek ways to improve the overall payment processing life cycle to positively impact on the Merchant's experience.
  • Ensure that all work instructions, processes and procedures are updated as required and changes are communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage merchant queries within the given ticket SLAs
  • Identify non-responsive merchants' outstanding settlements and engage the correct department to get to a resolution.
  • Research and resolve all settlement discrepancies
  • Prepare settlement statements, month-end partner reports
  • Maintain existing payment processes for merchants as often as required ( daily, bi-weekly etc)
