Introduction
A leading Asset Manager in Cape Town is searching for a Head of Institutional and Strategic Initiatives to join their team. The individual to develop and maintain relationships with financial advisers. It will be important for the candidate to have a thorough understanding of the South African and global macro environment, including knowledge to explain to existing and potential clients why our funds are positioned (equities, cash, bonds, etcetera) in a certain manner. This should ultimately translate into advisers supporting our product range.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:

• Engage existing and targeted clients for Asset Management on investment capabilities and related services

• Successfully influence key stakeholders across institutional, MM, and senior strategic partners critical for AM growth;

• Own, and executive effective sales strategy for Asset Management with targeted market

• Has a strong relationship and networking focus and established relationships to accomplish sales targets

• Builds and develops a pipeline, manage net flow and business at risk to growth of Asset Management and

• Team player, collaborating with team member maximise opportunities for sales success;

• Continuously keeping abreast of industry changes and market trends;

• Continuous innovation and idea generation for marketing pitches and client presentations.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum requirements:

• Minimum B.Com Investments or similar

• CFA qualification or studying towards will be advantageous (or Honours degree in Investments)

• 10 years min industry experience

• Established advisory relationships will be advantageous
