Are you an experienced payroll professional ready for a role that's more than just processing payroll?
Imagine a position where you don't just handle the numbers but become an integral part of shaping finance operations.
We're on the lookout for a motivated Payroll and Finance Assistant to take charge of the payroll process from start to finish.
This isn't just another payroll position - it's your chance to bring your expertise, streamline processes and truly make this role your own!
You'll process monthly salaries across multiple payrolls, along with calculating deductions on SSP, maternity and paternity, along with overtime payments and PAYE. You will process starters and leavers and be the company contact for the pension scheme.
Beyond payroll, this role offers you the chance to apply your Excel skills in a meaningful way, analyse data and provide insights that shape financial decisions. You'll be more than a team member; you'll be a driving force behind operational improvements and process enhancements.
You will support the finance department with maintaining the transactional ledgers, raising sales invoices, issuing purchase orders, processing purchase invoices, and providing cover and support for the daily banking and cash reconciliations.
You'll be based at the company Head Office, following the successful completion of your training period you will have the opportunity to work from home 1 day per week if you wish!
You're an ideal fit if you have solid experience managing the full payroll cycle, enjoy using Excel to turn data into actionable insights and have knowledge of Sage 50 and Sage Payroll. Experience with time and attendance systems would be an advantage in this role!
Ideally, you'll be confident in all aspects of finance and have a strong attention to detail. You will possess a positive outlook and a strong sense of accountability.
Most importantly, you're eager to roll up your sleeves, bring fresh ideas and be a key player in finance operations.
