Job Purpose and Mission:
This job contributes to Starbucks success by supporting the financial processes that enable sound planning and decision-making for the EMEA Channel Development business.
Channel Development encompasses all Starbucks business outside of our conventional coffee houses in EMEA; presently Ready-To-Drink, At-Home-Coffee & Foodservice in 56 markets across Europe, the Middle East & Africa with our business partners Nestle, Arla & Solinest.
This business unit continues its rapid growth in scale and complexity and this role is critical to support:
Delivery & development our management reporting
Expand our capacity to provide insight & analysis to guide business decisions ultimately improving our profitability
All the while maintaining strong financial controls

Key Job Dimensions & Scope of Role
- Supports the delivery of monthly financial results and key performance measures
- Supports the financial planning and analysis for EMEA Channel Development business unit, providing insight to various levels of stakeholders throughout the business
- Supports the Finance Manager in preparing EMEA Channel Development's financial plans
- Create awareness of financial performance, flagging risks/opportunities enabling the business to deliver its targets
- Create and deliver fit for purpose, insightful reporting - automating whenever possible. Drive continuous improvements in the financial planning and analysis processes
- Develops financial analysis to support business cases for new business initiatives, innovations, market expansion or cost savings projects
- Maintains controls on spend including managing the PO process for the team
- Acts as an ambassador of the Starbucks guiding principles, culture and values; keeping coffee at the heart of everything we do
Summary of Key
Responsibilities:
- Analyses and provides feedback on monthly financial results and key performance measures. Prepares management reports against forecast, budget and prior year
- Supports the delivery of Channel Developments financial strategic plans, annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts
- Identifies and communicates plans' risks and opportunities. Conducts decision analyses as needed and communicates results.
- Support the GCA team by providing insight and analysis around financial information and key trends
- Identifies, analyses, and communicates trends and issues affecting the business.
- Provides and explains financial information and guidance effectively to all levels of management and ensures adherence to policy
- Supports the continuous improvement of planning and reporting process using tools such as Anaplan and Power BI
- Works with cross-functional teams to improve processes, set targets, develop plans, conduct analyses and
- measure results. Consults with senior management to identify process gaps, present data and propose solutions.
- Key contact for EMEA & US accounting functions to ensure P&L is properly reflected and drive continuous process improvements
- Create analysis to support business cases related to innovations, market expansion or cost savings project
- Works closely with marketing and commercial team to review and analyse spend
- Manages and maintains tight cost controls through ongoing robust PO management
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to manage various levels of stakeholders throughout the business
- Ability to build relationship with cross functional teams and external partners
- Strong business mindset, FMCG background is preferred
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Incorta and oracle skills a distinct advantage
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Commenced study towards CIMA or equivalent professional qualification
- 2+ years in an accounting or finance related role
