As a Cost Accountant/Industrial Controller, you will be instrumental in overseeing the financial operations within the company's industrial/ manufacturing processes.

You'll be responsible for driving accurate costing, budgeting, and financial reporting, while working closely with managers to ensure financial data supports operational decision-making. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for finance within a manufacturing/ industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities will include...

  • Costing & Production Accounting: Monitor and analyse production data (e.g., consumption, efficiency) to provide key insights.
  • Financial Reporting: Contribute to monthly financial closing activities, and support the preparation of management accounts.
  • Industrial Controlling: Manage financial processes such as working orders, bill of materials, job cycles, and materials consumption.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads on budget creation and control.
  • Stock & Inventory Management: Ensure the accuracy of inventory records for accounting purposes.
  • KPI Analysis: Produce and present operational performance data to senior management.
  • Cost Analysis: Perform in-depth cost analysis to support operational improvements and cost control.


Who You Are

To be successful in this role, you will need to bring:
  • AAT Qualification or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial or manufacturing finance is essential
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and industrial processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., EG, Oracle JDE, SAP).
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
