We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic team in Edinburgh, Alderley Edge, or London offices.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and analysis to drive business performance and contribute to the overall success of our organisation. As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with various departments to ensure alignment of financial goals, support decision-making processes, and enhance the financial acumen of stakeholders.
You will play a crucial role in the development of financial plans, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring that they are realistic and achievable This position requires a proactive approach to identify opportunities for cost optimization, along with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to business stakeholders.
Your technical analytical skills will be vital in assessing the financial implications of business strategies and changing dynamic of our books of business while also conducting financial modelling to support business initiatives.

About the role
- Business partnering lead for our Longstanding Customer (LSC) (closed book) which also includes our Internal Annuities book and supporting the team on our recently launched Bulk Annuities proposition.
- Responsible for analysis and delivering of the monthly results along with working with the business on their forecasts and annual Business plan process.
- Working closely with the LSC team on an ongoing basis providing financial support and challenge on projects during an exciting phase of the LSC strategy. The role also provides exposure to attending and presenting at the monthly LSC exec meeting and other committee meetings.
- A valued member of the overall Business finance team, with good exposure to get involved with other team deliverables, cost analysis in addition to supporting the Head of UK Business partnering on their remit.
About you
- Professionally qualified, where required and educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Significant relevant industry experience with a demonstrable track record of undertaking similar type finance business partnering roles.
- Understanding of the financial drivers and methodologies for UK Life and Pensions organisations in aggregate and at Business Unit/product level
- Strong understanding of UK Life and Pension industry accounting with aptitude for technical aspects and the regulatory environment
- Can communicate complex financial matters clearly and precisely.
- Good influencing skills with proven success and confidence in influencing management in a large financial services business
