Management / Cost Accountant
Hinckley
Full Time / Permanent
£55,000 - £60,000
SF Recruitment are working with a superb Manufacturing business in Hinckley on an exclusive basis. Our client is searching for a Management Accountant to be the day-to-day lead on all Financials relating to the operation of the Company's costing and operating system. The ideal Management Accountant will be a qualified individual with strong Costing Experience in a manufacturing environment. The Management Accountant will also have strong IT & Excel skills along with excellent communication skills . As the Management Accountant you will report directly into the Managing Director & work closely with the wider Finance team.
Responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:
- Review, maintain and improvement of the Company's costing system
- Ensuring that standard cost data is up to date and accurate
- Monitoring of actual versus standard gross margins and investigating any significant variances.
- Review and investigations of overall costs and gross margins by customer and by operational area.
- Recommending changes to the systems and improving data capture and output.
- Monitoring of energy usage and operational efficiencies.
- Management accounts and variance analysis
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and KPI's for the Board in line with the agreed monthly timetable.
- Monthly cost to budget analysis.
- Development of accurate sales and gross margin reports by customer and process.
- Forecasting / Budgeting
- Updating the financial reforecast model each month
Project / Ad Hoc Responsibilities
- Continual review of processes and looking to automate any manual processes.
- Monitor and recommend changes to the financial control framework and costing systems
- Ad hoc financial and business analysis
This position is full time, permanent & predominantly office based. Core hours include a 12:30 finish on a Friday.
