An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Colwick, Nottingham on a 12 month fixed term contract . Hillary's are part of the Hunter Douglas group, so as a fast-growing company this role has become available to offer the successful applicant the opportunity to further their career in finance.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager - Finance, you'll be supporting the Operations Management Accountants team to supply financial analysis across the manufacturing and technical areas of Hunter Douglas UK. You'll be responsible for month end processes, internal & group operational reporting, and analysis on operational performance across all business channels.

This role is ideal for anyone who's part or fully qualified with management accounting experience.

Management Accountant Key

responsibilities:

  • Report and analyse manufacturing & operational performance across all business channels including Direct Labour, Product Quality/Waste and Overheads (including their financial implications).
  • Support the management accounting / business partnering functions.
  • Variance analysis reporting.
  • Ownership of month end processes.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Budgeting and forecasting for operational areas.
  • Support audit, statutory reporting and due diligence requirements as required.
  • Support SOX compliance.
  • Wider project work with manufacturing, technical and samples departments.

  • A graduate with a numerate degree, or AAT qualified is preferable.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage your own time and productivity to achieve deadlines and targets.
  • Able to take on board and develop skills according to feedback and have a positive, problem-solving attitude.

This role is hybrid, with three days in the office and two at home. You'll be joining a friendly team and working with experienced individuals with the opportunity to learn and develop in your finance career.
