Job Description
What you’ll do
The Management Accountant plays a crucial role in our finance team by providing insightful and timely financial analysis, reporting, and support to facilitate decision-making and safeguard the financial health of our organisation. This role is responsible for producing accurate and timely, management accounts, conducting variance analysis, preparing business review packs, forecasts, annual budget and other reporting requirements for a pre-determined CCH Group reporting region.
Financial Reporting
Prepare management accounts for designated regions, covering profit and loss, KPI, and trend analysis within set timelines. Collaborate with teams across finance, payroll, and ledgers to ensure accurate transaction recording and monitoring, while analysing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Provide insights into financial results to support decision-making and present branch performance to senior management monthly. Lead in helping Regional and Branch Managers understand P&L and contract profitability, assist with monthly finance reports, and work with IT/Operations to automate reporting.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Work with Branch and Regional Managers on annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor budget vs. actual performance, provide variance analysis, and promote financial ownership and improvement among stakeholders.
Ad-hoc
Mentor junior/trainee Management Accountants, liaise with auditors during annual audits, submit required forms to the National Statistics Office, support ad-hoc projects, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and legislation.
