Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or applicable field required
Minimum Work Experience
1-2 years accounting experience preferred.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions
- Prepares general ledger entries in conjunction with monthly closing process.
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts and takes actions necessary to resolve any variances and clear understanding items.
- Ensures departmental and organizational compliance with current accounting standards, hospital policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Completes projects and tasks, under the direction of the Accounting Manager and Assistant CFO, in order to assure assets are safeguarded and financial statements are fairly stated in accordance with GAAP, and will make action decisions and adjustments based on the reviews and reconciliations that he/she performs on a daily/monthly basis.
- The position also helps with projects during the year and pulls information requested for audits and financial reporting.
- Maintains the fixed asset system, processing asset additions, changes, retirements, and disposals.
- Assists with the annual Medicare cost report package.
