Accounts Assistant
Weybridge
Office Based
9am - 5:30pm
£35,000
An accounts practice based in Weybridge are looking for a switched on and Accounts Assistant to join their growing team.
The client is looking for someone who has strong communication skills with a good knowledge of all Microsoft office products include excel and word.
Full training will be provided on the role.
The main purpose of an Accounts Assistant role is to:
Processing of purchase invoices onto accounting software (Twinfield - TF) and disbursing to clients ledgers.
Bookkeeping tasks associated with TF such as finalising provisional transactions, reconciling/matching purchase invoices/analysing and re-posting suspense transactions
Adding new clients to TF to match the practices central database
Maintenance and reconciliation of various financial and accounting schedules and systems.
Matching sales to payments received.
Undertaking various client account reconciliations and raising queries as necessary.
Reconciling and posting of petty cash expenditure.
Assisting with debtors and updating to produce spreadsheet detailing aged debtors.
Liaising with senior management to establish status of practice trade debtors and communications with clients and peers to ensure prompt debtor collections.
Collation and e-delivery of client statements of account and as appropriate management of admin assistance.
Assisting support staff in ensuring that database records are kept up to date.
Production of standard practice fee notes and VAT schedules.
Assisting with work for preparation of Practice VAT return, as required.
Accounts Assistant Specification:
To be local to Weybridge
AAT qualified.
A studier for AAT or ACCA would be considered.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
To have accounts experience.
Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy and organisation
Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
