This role will be part of the Accounts Payable team at Northern Data.
Accounts Payable (AP) Manager is responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of a company's finance department and oversight of the Account Payable function.

This role will be part of the Accounts Payable team at Northern Data.
Accounts Payable (AP) Manager is responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of a company's finance department and oversight of the Account Payable function.
YOUR
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Invoice Processing:
- Oversight of current AP team - currently 4-6 individuals
- Receiving, verifying, and coding invoices for payment in ERP (SAP)
- Matching invoices with purchase orders and delivery reports
- Resolving invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
- Assisting the wider AP team resolve issues / discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
- Processing credit card expenses and reconciliation
Payment Processing:
- Preparing and processing payments to vendors according to payment terms
- Maintaining accurate payment records and documentation
- Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
Data Entry:
- Accurately entering /reviewing invoice data into the accounting system
- Maintaining vendor information and records
- Preparing and processing expense reports as needed
Vendor Relations:
- Responding to vendor inquiries and resolving issues
- Maintaining positive relationships with vendors
Financial Reporting:
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Preparing various AP reports and analyses as required
Process Improvement:
- Identifying opportunities to improve the AP process efficiency and accuracy
- Implementing process improvements and automation
Working requirements:
- Based in London, UK
- Hybrid working - ideally 2-3 times in office per week (London, Bank)
- Start date: ASAP
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in accounts payable field (3+ years)
- Understanding of general accounting principles, preferably studying towards an accounting qualification, AAT or similar
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP4HANA) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with expense report processing and working with expenses systems (e.g. Expensify, Rydoo)
- Experience managing a team
- Experience in multi-currency environment desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Pro-active, flexible and resourceful attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
