Our client, a leader in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join their dynamic team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in supporting the site's objectives by delivering accurate and timely financial information, driving operational improvements, and enhancing overall profitability.
Main Responsibilities
- Operational Engagement: Work closely with the site's General Manager and production teams, especially on the shop floor, to understand operations, including stock control, stock management, and stock intake.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to minimise financial losses and enhance profitability by asking the right questions, challenging current processes, and suggesting improvements.
- Business Partnering: Build strong relationships across the site, especially with non-financial stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and communication of financial results.
- Support Site Performance: Provide real-time financial insights and guidance to support the manufacturing team's decision-making, driving continuous improvement and operational success.
- Daily Financial Results: Deliver accurate on-site financial results, helping steer the team toward meeting performance targets
Required
- A professional qualification of CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
- Ideally from a food manufacturing background, but general manufacturing experience will be considered.
- Solid understanding of financial controls, stock management, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, influencing change, and explaining financial data to non-financial personnel.
- Strong ability to translate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
