Search Consultancy are supporting an international business in the recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant.
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting duties. You will be responsible for preparing accurate financial information, assisting with month-end processes, and contributing to the overall financial performance analysis of the business.
Reporting to the Finance Director you will work alongside the existing finance team, assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including reconciliations and variance analysis, You will support the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion and prepare and analyse financial reports to support business decision-making. You will also maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts and assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and audit schedules. You will also assist with the preparation of tax filings, VAT returns, and other statutory requirements and support the finance team with ad hoc reporting and project-based tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
AAT qualified (or equivalent) or actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA.
Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within a management accounting or similar environment.
Strong understanding of financial principles, reporting, and budgeting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, SAP) is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Proactive and eager to develop within the role and the wider finance team.Benefits:
