Full Time
Manage the daily operations and all functions of a surgical group practice. Ensure efficient service delivery, optimal patient care, and the effective functioning of all administrative, HR, and financial processes. Reports directly to the partners.

Key Responsibilities
Financial management


  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, with no discrepancies during audits.

  • Oversee billing and coding accuracy with monthly audits, resolving discrepancies within 10 days.

  • Manage the revenue cycle, achieving a 95% collections rate for patient and medical aid billing.

  • Monitor and maintain positive cash flow, with cash flow projection accuracy.

  • Oversee the budgeting process, reviewing and adjusting the budget quarterly based on practice needs and financial performance.



Operations management


  • Oversee the general daily operations and general functions of the surgical practice.

  • Resolve any operational issues within 24 hours.

  • Optimize resource allocation and utilization.



HR and staff management


  • Ensure positive employee engagement by fostering a positive work environment.

  • Implement new workflows and processes to enhance staff productivity, team collaboration and communication.

  • Manage staff scheduling to meet patient demand with minimal unplanned overtime.

  • Ensure all new staff complete mandatory training within their first month of employment and keep up to date with any other training and development requirements.



Patient experience


  • Ensure high levels of patient satisfaction and resolve any complaints within 48 hours.

  • Continuously improve care processes to enhance overall patient experience and quality of service.



Compliance and quality assurance:


  • Ensure full compliance with medical regulations and quality standards, achieving a 100% compliance rate during regulatory inspections.


Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification would be an advantage (Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration or related field)

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare management (surgical field)

  • Proficiency with GoodX software preferred

  • Experience with medical aid schemes from an accounting perspective
