About The Employer:
Our client is a leading company in the Property Management industry, seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the Financial Sector.
General Bookkeeping:
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including the recording of financial transactions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements with accounting records.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare reports for management, highlighting any financial discrepancies or trends.
Payroll Administration:
- Process payroll for employees, ensuring accurate deductions and payments.
- Maintain accurate records of employee salaries, bonuses, benefits, and leave entitlements.
- Reconciliations and Account Management:
- Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Ensure all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with accounting standards and company policies.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts.
Taxation and Compliance:
- Assist with VAT, PAYE, and other statutory compliance, ensuring all taxes and levies are paid on time.
- Prepare documentation for annual audits and liaise with auditors to ensure all records are accurate and in compliance with regulations.
Cash Flow and Budgeting Support:
- Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts to assist with budget planning.
- Provide financial data and analysis to support budgeting and financial decision-making.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiency.
- Implement accounting systems and processes that streamline the overall accounting function.
Team Support:
- Assist junior bookkeepers and other team members as required.
- Provide guidance and training on bookkeeping processes, accounting software, and financial reporting.
